Just upgraded to v19.5. Platform is macOS, if that matters.
The right-click context menu entry in the "Servers" panel for "Connect" doesn't seem to do anything. The only way I've found to connect to a server is to select the desired server in the "Servers" panel and then go to the application's "Server > Connect" menu or to "expand" the server's menu entry via the triangle icon to the left of the server's name in the "Servers" panel.
This seems to be new to v19.5, as I've used that method of connecting to servers in ADS for years.

Playing with this a little more, I'm seeing something more specific: in order for the context menu entries to work, I have to click exclusively on the "Connect" word in the context menu. If I click anywhere within the highlighted menu entry to the left of the word "Connect" or to the right of the word "Connect" -- but still within the highlighted area -- it appears that my selection of the menu entry is ignored.
I have one box where I have not updated to v19.5, so I will test there to see if this is in fact new to v19.5.
Regardless, this is unexpected behavior for the context menu and probably is not unique to the "Connect" entry. Selecting anything on that menu entry within the highlighted area should select the menu entry (rather than having to explicitly make sure I have clicked on the word[s] within the menu entry). This is definitely different than the application menu, where clicking anywhere within the highlighted menu entry selects it.
Hi Ron,
I am using ADS v19.5 in MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.6, and I am able to connect using the right-click context menu. Please see the attached connect.png screenshot. I am able to connect to the selected server by clicking anywhere in the red circles in the highlighted menu area. Am I understanding your scenario correctly? If this is not the case, please include a screenshot to help illustrate your scenario. Please also copy and paste the information in your "Help > Support Information" menu so that we can better diagnose the issue.

Yes, I think you are understanding what I am seeing correctly.
If I click in those areas, nothing happens in v19.5. If I click in those areas in v19.0.2-3 on the same system, it behaves as expected. I've confirmed this on my secondary system (also a macOS 10.12.6 system).

I will also add that even clicking directly on the "Connect" word in that context menu is very hit-and-miss, and I'm yet to get "Disconnect" on the context menu to work...
I have a screen-capture movie of just the relevant part of the screen showing multiple consecutive attempts to connect via the context menu failing, but it comes in at 1.2MB (which is apparently just over the attachment size limit). It is available here:

Hi Ron,
I also have tested this behavior on my Macbook with version 10.13.6. It is working correctly for me. Can you attach your datastudio logs to this issue so we can have a look? The logs can be found in Help->View Log->Archive->Explore.
Thanks, Tom

@Tom: Yes, absolutely. I can zip those up and share them with you. I'd prefer not to post them publicly, though; can I email them to you instead?

Hi Michael,
Can you ask the support team to contact Ron so that we can get his log files?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
