I am not able to reproduce in 15.0.0-dev-250.

When we expand server node and select database from list,Connect as.. option should be removed in Choose Server/database window for MS-Excel.

@jenny: This is a OS specific bug. It works fine in Mac and Ubuntu. I was able to reproduce in Win 8. This is also not specific to Excel. For e.g if you click on Excel and then move to MySQL, it will retain Excels properties.
You can look into it and move to a future version if trivial
