Sybase ASE - Wrong table/view name is displayed in table tree-node.

Sybase ASE

1. Alter a table in Sybase ASE and Rename it in ADS v15, you can see that " " are surrounded in the Schema Tree Node

2. But in ADS v14, if we alter a table and rename, we can see that this issue does not occur.

Step to reproduced

1.Create table

CREATE TABLE "dbo"."test_table_1" (

"col1" varchar(25) NULL,

"col2" varchar(25) NULL,

"col3" varchar(25) NULL

)

LOCK ALLPAGES

WITH max_rows_per_page = 0,

reservepagegap = 0,

identity_gap = 0

ON [default]

2.Expand database tree node

3.Select Database 'Dimentrix' and expand it

4.Select table "test_table_1" from table tree node

5.Right click on that table, select alter table option

6.Alter table window is opened

7.Change the table name and click on alter button

Now you will observe that,In table tree-node table is displayed in double quote.

8.Right click on that table "test_table_122" from table tree node

9.Script object to window as->select create option

10.Now you will observe that, wrong Create script is generate on query analyzer

CREATE TABLE "dbo".""test_table_122"" (

"col1" varchar(25) NULL,

"col2" varchar(25) NULL,

"col3" varchar(25) NULL

)

LOCK ALLPAGES

Same issue generate, when we create a trigger.

1.Create view

CREATE VIEW "dbo"."test_view1"

SELECT dbo.test123.t1, dbo.test123.t2, dbo.test123.t3 FROM dbo.test123

2.Go to view tree node ,select view 'test_view1'

3.Right click on it ,select alter view option

4.Change the view name, click on alter button

5.Go to view tree node

6.Now you will observe that,Incorrect view name is displayed

7.When we drop this view,

A error message is displayed "Incorrect syntax near 'test_view1'"

But In other Sybase ASE tool,View drop successfully.

We accidently added open/close quote identifiers to rename function statement. This would only be the case if we where using a DDL statement and not the thing that needed to be done when using a function statement.
