You will notice that scripting does not script REVERSE option if BITMAP option is selected. The scripting is correct. What you are asking for is the addition of validation rules in the GUI. I definitely think adding GUI validations would be extremely helpful to users, but currently we do only very little GUI validations. This would be 1 in 10000 cases where we are missing validation and there is no point in expressing these in an issue as the engineers already know. In the future we should plan to add GUI validations but at the moment, we need to just make sure the GUI is scripting things correctly. In this case if the index is of type BITMAP it correctly does not script the Reverse option, since this option is not available for bitmap indexes.
Tariq, if you want the qa to work on GUI validations, I strongly recommend filling an issue to add GUI validation first. And that issue should be broken down by GUI component. Adding this would be a major release in itself.
