Our current data label algorithm for shape chart always tries to display the data label horizontally centered below the respective shape. The algorithm should be more flexible to accommodate more data labels: e.g. support left, center & right alignment of data labels. Possibly vertical orientation as well: below, middle, above.
Allow the data label to be repositioned and optionally draw a leader line from the repositioned data label to the shape. Excel does this.

a) For shape chart, user can reposition data labels by dragging them anywhere in chart area.
b) On right clicking on datalabel, user can customize following settings for current label:
- Showing of labels: Automatic/AlwaysShow/NeverShow
- Show/Hide leader lines
- Reset position of dragged labels
c) User can clear these customized label settings for complete chart by clicking on option: Menubar> Worksheet> Clear> Manual positioning and Showing of labels.
