See : CDocumentPane.onDoubleClick() -> CFrame:Line-640 -> AppFrame->toggleTreeExpand().
This bug also occurs in 11.0, so it might be our bug instead of JIDE.
Strictly following the a, b & c cases mentioned above, they are all fixed.
However, if two Tree panels are stacked together, the other one being placed on top or at bottom, giving focus before the max/restore operation to the single Tree panel may change the visibility order of the two panels stacked together.
See attached capture ads_tab_maxres_changes_tree_2.webm.
d) Files & Servers stacked together, Projects alone; Servers first; after focus to Projects & max/restore, Files gets first.
e) Files & Projects stacked together, Servers alone; Files first; after focus to Servers & max/restore, Projects gets first.
f) Servers & Projects stacked together, Files alone; Servers first; after focus to Files & max/restore, Projects gets first.
The Tree panels' arrangement should not change despite the variety of possible setups.

As in ADStudio 12 Beta 9 the d), e) & f) cases are not fixed.
Please notice that before doing the max/restore operation, you have to give focus to the alone tree panel, exactly as described in my previous comment, without giving focus to the alone panel the problem does not appear.

Verified in 12.0.0-beta-34. See attached gif (scenario f). d and e are also fixed.
