Use ADS 15.0.0-dev-317 or below to reproduce this issue.
1. In ADS, File -> Open and choose a .sql file.
2. The "Choose Server or Database" dialog is displayed.
3. Select an Excel connection node.
- Note that there is no tooltip for the Excel connection node. For other databases (e.g. MySQL, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server), a tooltip on the server information is displayed when mouse over the connection node.
- When expanding the Excel connection node, a list of databases is displayed. However, you cannot choose a schema in the database.
4. After you pick an Excel database and choose the "Open in Query Analyzer" option, you will need to run a "SET SCHEMA" command to choose a different schema.
The Excel connection node in the "Choose Server or Database" dialog should be enhanced to allow the user to choose both the database and schema.
- Tooltip is displayed for Excel connection nodes (fixed in dev-351).
- User can choose database and schema for Excel connection nodes (fixed in dev-318).
