Database : Cloudera Impala
CDH 5.2.0 VM , hive 0.13 driver, Connection Type: Impala , Port: 21050
Java Version: Java 1.7.0_60

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to ER Modeler menu option and select 'New' option.
2. Select Apache Hive database type

3. Select Cloudera/Impala 0.13 version and click OK button.

4. In ER Diagram window add new table

5. Right click on newly added table and select Properties option.

6. Create columns with datatype Char and Varchar

Here for Char and Varchar datatype default length(25) is not specified in length column.

It shows error message “Invalid Length ” in preview sqltab.

Expected result : Deafult length for Char and Varchar datatypes should get assigned as 25 .

This issue is occures for all hive distributions.

For CDH 5.2 Cloudera Impala char and varchar datatypes are not provided in ADS 15.0.11-7.

Verified in ADS 15.0.11-8.

Char and Varchar datatype added for CDH5.2 Cloudera Impala and works correctly.
