Apache Hive: Incorrect validations in Table Storage Property tab
Apache Hive: Incorrect validations in Table Storage Property tab
1. Create a new ER Model in Apache Hive 0.14
2. Create a new Table and add 2 columns a,b
3. Navigate to Storage Tab, select Storage Format = Row Format SerDe
4. Enter SerDe Name = com.cloudera.hive.serde.JSONSerDe
5. Enter SerDe Properties = ROW FORMAT and hit the OK button
6. Now take the Table Properties one more time and you can see that the SerDe properties appear disabled.
This should be actually enabled and user should be able edit the values right away. The only way I can now edit these values is go to Storage Format and change the drop down to for e.g Storage Handler and come back to Row Format SerDe. That should not be the case
