Datatypes in Vertica ER Modeler and Create Table GUI
For issue 12030 we made some changes to include missing datatypes and according to the documentation we had removed a few synonyms. This needs to be revisited and make sure everything is in sync.
From Customer:
"We are working on an ERD in v16 and found the data types for Vertica seem to be wrong. For example I don’t see the BIGINT type in v16, whereas it does exist in v15. We are using Vertica 7.0."
The following datatype aliases have been added back to the ER modeler and the table GUI for vertica 4.1 and above: [bigint, binary varying, bool, character, character varying, double precision, float8, int8, integer, real, smalldatetime, smallint, time without time zone, time with time zone, timestamp without time zone, timestamp with time zone, tinyint]
