I want to be able to display Japanese glyphs properly in both SQL editor and grid results panels. and it is true that MS Gothic works fine with ADS. But it is not very suitable for everyday work (too tiny).

In my opinion the problem is that Consolas font in fact does not physically contain Japanese glyphs, but Windows somehow manage to render these glyphs using some other font, similar to the one selected by the user (I don't know how it works, but it works somehow, even in default Notepad).

The „problem“ is not critical at all. I do not work with Japanese too often and I can always switch the fonts in ADS options, do what I need and switch it back to something normal. But I thought that I might send it to you for consideration – for example add one additional option which font to use for rendering East Asian text strings when the needed glyphs are not available in the standard font, or something like that.
