Hi Anil, Seems that all hive server 2 decimal precision should be set to 10 and impala should be 9??? Right now the default is 9 for everything except Spark SQL. Would you please verify this? Open an issue and assign to me if you see incorrect defaults. Thanks in advance, Tom

For Hive- Logged new issue #13775.
The change is observed only for Hive.
No changes for Impala.
Will verify this spark-sql issue once build is available.

Issue #13775Hive- Decimal Data Type- set default precision value to '10' |
Hi Anil, Seems that all hive server 2 decimal precision should be set to 10 and impala should be 9??? Right now the default is 9 for everything except Spark SQL. Would you please verify this? Open an issue and assign to me if you see incorrect defaults. Thanks in advance, Tom
