Connect DB Vertica 7.2.3

Steps:

1. Go to Vertica DB tree node.

2. Go to Vertica--> Databases--> Choose database, I chose'SampleDB'--> Choose any Schema, I chose 'test_pariksiht'-->Tables.

3. Make right click on 'Tables' to "Create Table" through UI.

4. Add columns to the creating table and switch to "Constraint" option.

5. Check constraint option is not available.

Actual Result:

"CHECK CONSTRAINT" option is not available.

Only "Primary Key", "Foreign Key" and "Unique" constraint options are available.

Expected Result:

"CHECK CONSTRAINT" option should be available along with other Constraint Options.

Observation:

For v14, v15, v16 and v17, we used database Vertica 7.1 but in vertical 7.2, check constraint option is newly added.

And we are using Vertica 7.2 for version 18.

Please refer link where the new feature is added.

There are some new features are added by Vertica for version 7.2.3

While doing area functional testing, I noticed that the check selection is available before version 7.2. I checked the documentation and it looks like the check constraint was added in 7.2. Would you please put a check in for that and not display it in the constraint drop down if earlier than 7.2?

Added Check constraint condition visible for Vertica 7.2 and greater, But as we not able database below Vertica 7.2, we couldn't able to test it.

Hi Pankaj,

Why did you create the Cassandra version variable for Vertica? There is already a Vertica version variable listed around line 8000 in ConnectionProperties.java. Please fix this.

Just an observation, the check constraint was implemented in Vertica 7.2.3. We don't have this resolution in ADS so we can just leave it at 7.2.
