Steps if doing from scratch :
Scenario 1:
1. Connect to any Database/Excel
2. Write any Valid Select query on QA window.
    Say : 
    SELECT * FROM bistudioexamplecopy1.bistudioexample
    GO
3. Press Ctrl+D to Describe the Query or 
    Enable it from Menu bar->Query->Describe
Actual Result :
Query described successfully in "Describe tab in Result pane" and on status bar displayed Table bistudioexamplecopy1.bistudioexample is Described

 

4. Now, Select the Query in Editor and again Press Ctrl+D

Actual Result : 

Query is not described and on status bar it displayed 
"Table SELECT * FROM bistudioexamplecopy1.bistudioexampleGO does not exists"

 

 

Expected Result : 
In both scenarios its working is different that means in case 1 we have not selected query then query is Described and when we selected the query then its not getting Described and Exactly opposite in Case2. 
Then Which behavior is correct here? 

We should keep consistent behavior.
