The jre should be updated to the latest version.
There is a jre issue in Windows which causes ADS to crash when using JFileChooser. This is fixed in version JDK 1.8u152. See this post.

It was decided to use 8u171 jdk and jre for Windows and OSX. Linux has a problem with 8u171 so might use 8u151. Above 8u151, ADS takes 1.5 minutes to open. Partners, please see what is causing the issue and fix.
Documentation needs to change for v19.5 under Installation->minimum requirements; maybe other places, to reflect new jre.

Hi Juhi,
To verify this issue, please test how long ADS takes to start across all three os's and add the results here. Make sure that you have all of the QA windows closed before running your test. Also, please verify that all three operating system versions are using jre version 1.8.0_171. This can be found in ADS->Help->Support. See here.
In addition, this is a scenario that was causing the original customer issue with JFilechooser and Windows 10 mentioned at the top. Please test this area...
Please test this to make sure that we have not caused any slow down or breakage...
There is an issue in OSX that causes network performance problems on macOS Sierra on some machines. The network performance issue can be easily seen by going to Help > Support Information. On machines which experience this issue, this screen will take a noticeably long time to load.
Thanks in advance, Tom

Hi Juhi,
What version of Ubuntu are you using? I tested this with 18.04 and it was taking ~20 secs to start ADS on my machine. So Asif fixed the delay issue.
Thanks, Tom

Also Linux build got upgraded to Java 1.8.0_171-b11. Thanks @Nhi
Hence, marking it verified.
