#15570: Update PostgreSQL and Greenplum JDBC driver from 42.0.0 to version 42.2.2

1) Copy the postgresql.jar driver to the build-lib directory(...\ADS\dist\apps\common\build-lib) from the Google drive.

2) Copy the postgresql.jar driver to the lib directory(...\ADS\dist\apps\common\lib\drivers) from the Google drive.

3) Test compile, unit test and resolve issues.

4) Check the driver into svn. Make sure the commit message contains the following:

5) Do a end to end test of all ADS Greenplum and PostgreSQL functionality.

New drivers are checked in revision no. 55977 in repository and will be available in build no. ADS19.5.0-dev-8

FYI

In requirement document, versions mentioned to do end to end testing is different as shown below:

Greenplum v4.3 and v5.6 -----> Connections shared with us is v4.3 and v5.0

PostgresSQL 9 and 10 --------> Connections we have here is v9.6 and v10.4

(Note: Regression testing is in progress)

Hi Juhi,

It is ok to just work with the connections that we have. Unfortunately, I can't always setup the exact server versions.

Done end to end testing with JDBC driver version 42.2.2 on:

1. PostgreSQL 9.6 and 10.4 (on Ubuntu 16.0.4)

2. Greenplum 4.3 and 5.0 (on Windows 7)
