Attached is a patch for v19... This allows them to configure their most recent file list.size. When you get the chance, can you code review it and test it?

[Nhi] Looks good.

Just want to note the following behavior in backwards compatibility testing:

• In v19.0.2, set "Latest recent open files count" ==> 12, and restart ADS
• Open a number of VA workbook files so that the Visual Analytics > Open Recent shows 12 files
• Exit ADS
• Launch ADS v19.0.1
• Visual Analytics > Open Recent still shows 12 files even though this version of ADS only knows about the 10 limit. This is acceptable since no harm is done.
  • Now open 1 more VA file. The result is that the Visual Analytics > Open Recent list is now trimmed back to 10, which is correct.
• Note that when File > Open Recent had more than 9 entries, launching ADS v19.0.1 will truncate it to 9 entries. This is existing behavior in v19.0.1, which is unrelated to the patch.

Might want to consider the following wording changes:

• "Latest recent open files count" == > "Recent open files limit"
• "Specifies the number of recently opened files to remember. Caution, reducing the number in the list will permanently remove file names from the list." ==> "Specifies the maximum number of recently opened files to remember. Caution, decreasing the limit will truncate the current list of recently opened files to the new lower limit. The truncated items will not be automatically added back to the list when you increase the limit again."

I like your wording better. Will change it. The problem with the backwards compatibility is that the list doesn't get updated to the static value of 9 entries(previous default) until a file is saved. In other words, when ADS comes up, it loads whatever is in the list in properties and doesn't trim that list until another file is saved. As you said, I don't think this is an issue.
