When I do execute on SELECT from table which has a datetime column (I am using SAP ASE 16.0 SP02), results are shown formatted according to my chosen format from settings (same for timestamp/time/date/datetime):
But when I do Execute Edit, then it is using ... some format.
Maybe a some guess from my Windows language (? I have en-us language, but I adjusted timestamps to yyyy-mm-dd HH24:mi:ss):

Thank you for your patience. I was able to test this on my environment but unfortunately I was not able to reproduce it, please make sure you have set correctly the format on File > Options > Results Format.

No problem with delay, it is not a showstopper :-)
Concerning issue itself - yes, you are correct, that if you do it in common "Execute (Ctrl+E)" then format is OK. But if you do it through "Execute Edit (Ctrl+Alt+Enter)", then the format is not OK.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I missed the Execute Edit part.
Please try changing the Date/Time format on General > Appearance and let me know if this fix your issue.
