For Netezza Server , there is a Create Schema GUI
once the schema is created, this appears as a database - see pic
for e.g I created a schema schems_tst and this appears as a database.
is there a difference between the database icon and schema created?

netezza has no CREATE SCHEMA, or isn't suppose to. there is no documentation on this but for some reason create schema creates a database. I removed this from the menu item.

The create schema menu options are still avaliable when the [Schema Folder Grouping] is set to yes. This need to be removed as they would not create a schema but a database instead.

removed the schema commands from the menus as the list of schemas is actually users and 'create schema' DDL command is not truly supported by Netezza...
