I am using ADS 10.0 with the Netezza driver.
When creating a runaway query with no limits such as the example below:
And I have to reboot the app to use it again. Not a good user experience!
(Sorry guys first time using the system. Help me use it better if I did something stupid or am in the wrong place!)

Aqua Data Studio does not bundle the Netezza JDBC driver. Can you tell me what version of the Netezza JDBC driver you are using?
Can you tell me if you are using a "Netezza" connection type? or a "Generic JDBC" connection type to connect to Netezza?
What version of Netezza are you connecting to? 6.x?
The Netezza version is 5.x.
I pulled the driver from this link which actually says it's deprecated. (http://code.google.com/p/mist01/downloads/detail?name=nzjdbc.jar&can=2&q=).
Do you have a recommended place to get the Netezza driver?

The link you provided to the Netezza driver is probably not a good choice. I am not sure the validity of the driver or maintainer. Because of Netezza licensing reasons, you need to get the Netezza driver from Netezza. This licensing policy might have changed with the IBM acquisition.
In your Server Registration, are you using "Netezza"? or "Generic JDBC"?

Ok I found a better source for my driver. I am choosing "Netezza" for Server Registration.
I'll try and recreate the error with the new copy of the driver.

Nope, same error.
Nope, same error.
Ok, I figured out you don't need to kill the app. You can use the Reconnect option and it will disconnect/connect you again.
So I think it's simply user error.
