not sure if this is how its designed but it would be nice to be able to write a fluidshell script file that I can set & clear the buffer.
example: create txt file with the following lines
cd /home/username
\clear sql
select * from table
\export -d 'databasename' -s 'schemaname' destinationfilename
\clear sql
once you have the file saved, then you could run \source filename and clear the buffer, set the buffer, export the buffer and then reclear the buffer. currently it changes the directory and then errors on line 2 with
Interactive command can not be run in the batch mode: \clear
The way I see it, there should be no need to clear the SQL buffer in the batch mode.
The fact that \export command gets a query from the buffer and does not clear it afterwards is a surprise to me - it should, in fact, work as \go (clear the buffer). What is the reason for such behavior?
Reassigning to Niels for consideration.
The sqlbuffer clearing was fixed by using the sqlbuffer -c command.
For the problem with the automatic clearing of the sqlbuffer after calling sqlexport without a having a table specified, issue #7175 was added.
