Which SQL Server were you testing against? Can you try again?
I was not able to reproduce this problem using SQL Server running on 10.168.11.80 which is the only SQL Server to which I can connect; the rest of SQL Servers are not reachable.
I also tried 'select * from Orders' quite a few times, working fine.
I am able to reproduce in the latest build. See attached screenshot with Server Properties

But I was still unable to reproduce this problem in my environment. This problem probably is similar to the one logged as issue 6921.

I was still unable to reproduce this problem in my environment; this problem is exactly the same as the one reported by issue 6921 which is hard to reproduce as well:
