Note that in the article the user has created a DB link to another Oracle DB. Then, the user has created a synonym to refer to a specific table using that DB Link.
Synonym defined: Use the CREATE SYNONYM statement to create a synonym, which is an alternative name for a table, view, sequence, procedure, stored function, package, materialized view, Java class schema object, user-defined object type, or another synonym.
The customer request is that for all synonyms (in their case, specifically tables), we be able to show the data & structure that the synonym is referring to. So, we should determine which object the synonym is referring to and then display the corresponding attributes based on that object. e.g. for table, we should show table properties, etc.
I have made initial changes to the tree structure and minor changes to allow for table data editor to initiate on synonyms. Need help testing scenarios... checking code in for alpha testing..

Nodes where coded as of documentation that states synonyms are for [table, view, sequence, procedure, stored function, package, materialized view, Java class schema object, user-defined object type & synonym]. In testing you can create synonyms for many other objects but currently code will not capture and create other node types other then those specified in the list listed by the documentation.
