Go to DBA TOOLS--->Select MS Sql server database-->Select Security Manager.

Go to Logins & Server Roles tab,and expand the server roles tree node.

It is observed that the name of the server roles under server and login tab appears to

be different with the name of the server roles under sql database tree node.

Works as designed. You need to go to the Server Roles tab and you can see the full description. See my attached screenshot
