The Projects tab enables administrators to view and manage all projects stored in Aqua Data Server. The "View any Project" system permission is required. For an overview of projects and how to use them, see Basic Concepts: Projects.
Click the New Project icon in the Action Bar. You must have the "View any Project" and "Create Project" system permissions in order to see the New Project icon.
The project list can be exported as an XML, CSV or Excel file by clicking the Export to Button. If you have a search criteria specified, the list of exported projects will be restricted to this search criteria.
As the usage of Aqua Data Server increases and more and more projects are created, you might want to quickly find the project that you are interested in. The search textbox is designed to tackle this use case. After typing in your search text in the Action Bar and pressing enter, Aqua Data Server performs an OR search across the project name, descriptor and category fields and returns all matching records. For instance, lets say you were searching for the text "revenue". Aqua Data Server would perform the following search: project.name like %revenue% OR project.descriptor like %revenue% OR project.category like %revenue% ==> this would return any projects that contained the text "revenue" either in their name, descriptor or category fields.
This action enables the administrator to specify a different owner for the project and requires the "Edit any Project" system permission. The change owner screen lists all active users and provides a search box in the Action Bar to quickly find the desired user. The column "Joined Date", displays when the user became a member of the project. Joined Dates of "N/A" denote that the user is not currently a member of this project.
Upon choosing a new owner and clicking "Save", the existing project owner loses the implicit permission of "Manage Users & Roles" but retains any explicit roles that might have been assigned to them in the project, such as "Administrator." The newly assigned project owner sees the project under their "My Projects" tab. Also, the new project owner is implicitly granted the "Manage Users & Roles" permission. No other changes are made to the project. The new project owner is not automatically assigned any roles. The Administrator should assign them a role by drilling into the project and going to the Users & Roles tab.
The Edit Project action allows editing the same set of fields that are displayed in "New Project." If you edit the descriptor field, you will need to update any external links to this project, such as the "Deploy" action in Aqua Data Studio.
The "Edit any Project" system permission is required.
The Delete Project action removes all data associated with this project including AquaScripts, Server Connections, User Files, Scheduled Jobs and the project itself. There will be no record kept of this project in the system.
Projects can only be deleted by administrators who have the "Delete any Project" system permission.
