If the user does not refresh or request a page within a specified time-out period (known as Session Timeout), the session ends and the user must log in again. Session timeout configuration is not available within the System Settings GUI. To configure this value, you need to edit the web.xml file located at <INSTALLATION_HOME>/tomcat/conf/ and change the timeout value (in minutes) by editing the line which should look like the following:

<session-timeout>30</session-timeout>
</session-config>
Changes to session timeout take effect after the next Aqua Data Server Restart.
