Aqua Data Server 2.0

Overview

Aqua Data Server is a specialized application server designed to build and deploy production-quality, visually compelling database and reporting applications quickly and easily. Aqua Data Server helps organizations simplify and lower the cost of their Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing environments by streamlining the development and deployment of ETL (Extract Transform Load) tasks, Data Migrations, Reporting, Dashboards and Form based web applications. Database Administrators, Software Developers, Data Analysts, Statisticians and Quality Assurance Engineers can centralize and automate various data processing tasks in a simple and unified product.  Aqua Data Server is a flexible cross-DBMS and cross-platform application server, fully integrated with the universal desktop database administration tool, Aqua Data Studio. 

The foundation of Aqua Data Server is AquaScripts — a JavaScript based programming language which uses Aqua Open API library methods. The framework includes a web server, an AquaScripts Editor, script scheduler and a security layer to define user access control, permissions and roles. Custom solutions built with Aqua Open APIs and AquaScripts are deployed in the form of Aqua Projects on the server.

In Aqua Data Server v2.0 there are new Collaborative features and many improvements in the GUI. The Collaborative tools in Aqua Data Server are designed to effectively organize, manage and share information. You can share your current "Status" and "Links" with Project Members, so that everyone in your team knows what you are working on at a given moment. You can add connections and increase collaboration within your team. The navigation in version 2.0 is made simpler, which makes it easy to manage your connections, projects and system settings. In the improved Navigation Bar, you will see tabs for Home, Profile, Connections, Invitations, Secure Storage, Settings, Explore Projects and Admin.

You can Create Private and Public Projects, Create your profile, Add connections, Share status, links, Explore public projects, invite new members to your project, connect with your colleagues and increase collaboration on your team. Aqua Data Server includes enterprise role-based security ready for deployment with any new database project right out of the box. 

Users can share their work status that team members can then reference, making it much easier for users to interact and capture valuable insights. This helps organizations to accurately capture requirements across the organization and to increase the productivity.
