Among the many chart enhancements included in version 13, are the inclusion of more than a dozen color themes: preset color configurations for chart series, chart title and background gradients that make creating visually appealing charts much easier than before. With the new Chart Toolbar, you can also quickly customize your chart without having to open the Chart Options dialog.
Choose from several preconfigured color themes to automatically select background gradients, series colors, chart text colors, and title colors that work well with one another.
Select the colors you want for Title, Axes Title, Chart Labels and more. Making vivid charts that highlight what you want is now much easier.
To quickly get your chart to fill out the entire Chart Pane within the Query Analyzer, click this button and a 2D version of your chart displays.
It's now much easier to swap between 2D and 3D versions of your chart by clicking the 2D/3D swap button in the Chart Toolbar.
It's easier to give your chart elements the room they need by using Title Margin, Axis Title Margin and Legend Margin options. This can help keep important chart text visible no matter what your zoom or chart position is.
You can quickly jump to the options you need to modify by right clicking within the chart and choosing the appropriate item from the context menu; be it font, title, legend position and many other options.
The Opacity of the Chart Grid can be modified within the Chart Options to allow the background color or gradient to show through. It's possible to make the Grid completely opaque, or barely visible.
To quickly show or hide the Legend, click the Show Hide Legend button in the Chart Toolbar.
You can now show and hide data labels by clicking the Show/Hide Data Labels button in the Chart toolbar. Previously, this required opening the Chart Options.
To make Pie Charts more compelling, you can now choose to explode only a select group of slices by entering a value in the Explode Top N Slices field in the Pie Chart Options.
