These two requests resolve around the "Servers" panel when dealing with
long lists of tables/stored procedures or many different servers / query
windows.
#1 - Give option to display long database object lists (tables, stored
procedures, etc) within in-line scrollable pane. It is not uncommon for
a database to have so many tables the list is like 10x the vertical
space of your screen. If you want to collapse the list or move from
tables to stored procedures or over to a different database connection
altogether it can be a bit of scrolling to do so. If the object list
when expanded was displayed within an in-line pane that never exceeded
50% of the screen and had it's own scroll bar for the list it would be
very easy to always reach the collapse arrow or to move on to other
objects in the Servers panel. If your cursor is within the object list
pane, you scroll the list, if it's outside you scroll the entire Server
panel. I have attached a mock screen shot of how I envision this.
#2 - Give option that when within a query tab, selecting a table name
(OR holding a modifier key + selecting OR in the context menu when
selecting a table name) the selected table will cause the Server panel
to automatically scroll / navigate (and even connect to the DB if
needed) to the selected object (table, stored procedure, etc). This
would be helpful when switching between tabs that are associated with
different databases - the Server panel would switch focus right along.
