Blazing fast data imports for Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ using Aqua Data Studio's new Bulk Copy mechanism which utilizes Sybase's BCP feature. Insert 200,000+ rows in only a few seconds. Import performance is up to 112x faster than in version 13.
In Sybase ASE, when you select Enable BCP in the Import > Transaction Tab, we invoke Sybase's bulk load mechanism to insert data. In Sybase IQ, after you enable the iAnywhere Driver, check the Enable BCP flag in Import to leverage Sybase's bulk load mechanism.
With Import Bulk Copy, importing hundreds of thousands of rows takes place in only a matter of seconds, making mass importing from multi-megabyte files blazing fast. When importing 230,000 rows into Sybase IQ, the import operation finishes 112x faster than previous versions, 3 seconds instead of 5 minutes 37 seconds!
