Visual Explan Plans for Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ let you quickly track down performance bottlenecks in your queries by displaying color coded diagrams and reports. Gain insight on resource utilization, wait times, CPU usage, scan counts and more for the queries you are running.
The Sybase ASE Visual Explain Plan includes a Details tab for displaying statistics on each operation, an XML tab to show the XML generated by the server for the explain, and an Advanced tab for Plan Information, Resource Utilization, Cost, Optimizer Metrics and Optimizer Statistics. Mouse hover on nodes in the diagram provides a tool-tip with node statistic details.
There are two options for the Sybase ASE Explain plan; XML and Text. The XML option presents the Explain in diagram form with associated details in the Details, XML and Advanced tabs. The Text option presents the Explain Plan as text with an associated sortable grid with information on Total Logical Reads, Total Physical Reads, Scan Count, Regular Reads Logical, APF Reads Logical, Regular Reads Physical, APF Reads Physical and APF IOs.
The Visual Explain Plan for Sybase IQ includes a Query Plan with a Details table, a Query Timing Chart, and Query Text with server version information and the query executed. The Query Timing Chart offers details on Elapsed Time for each operation, as well as thread count and CPU utilization.
The Visual Explain Plan for Sybase IQ Query Plan displays a diagram that provides details for each node. Clicking a node produces Details in the Details tab. Mouse hover on a node provides a tool-tip with statistics.
