Filled Map Charts

The filled map charts in Aqua Data Studio Version 17.0 provide a powerful visualization of your geographic data at the country, state, and city level. You can color code your map to show quantitative values such as sales by state or plot qualitative data such as the credit rating of each country. The following example shows the English speaking population worldwide.

 

Geographic Role

Visual Analytics has an exceptional built-in geocoding capability that plots data based on country, state/province, and city thus letting you visualize your data on a geographic map. Visual Analytics automatically assigns geographic roles to commonly recognized field names; such as State, Country, and City and places a globe symbol next to these fields. Users can also manually assign geographic roles to any field that is not automatically detected by Visual Analytics.

Visual Analytics displays states or province on the map using colors corresponding to the values that you assign. For example, you can use this map to view the organizational profits per state.

Show State Borders

Visual Analytics gives you the control to show borders for the country whose data is plotted. The borders add clarity between different states of the plotted country.
