Aqua Data Studio 17.0 introduces support for Google BigQuery, a RESTful web service that enables interactive analysis of very large datasets. With this release, you can now register server connections to Google BigQuery, select your projects, run SQL queries against BigQuery datasets, and quickly analyze and gain real-time insights about your data. We are providing a full set of tools for BigQuery to make this speed-optimized data analysis offering in the cloud even more efficient to use. Our Query Analyzer, Query Builder, Import/Export tools, Visual Analytics, ER Modeler, Compare Tools, plus many other features are available for BigQuery. These functionalities let you take full advantage of the simple, fast, and scalable architecture of BigQuery.
Sign up for BigQuery and create your Projects. Launch the Register Server dialog and create a native connection to Google BigQuery using the standard Google Authentication. Use Aqua Data Studio to access your data using the Query Analyzer. Easily browse or create tables, run queries, import/export data to Google Cloud Storage, and perform querying and scripting tasks in our tool.
Script a BigQuery object as SELECT, INSERT, CREATE or DROP to have Aqua Data Studio generate DML and DDL statements. With the Schema Script Generator, you can either choose objects to script or script the complete content of a Dataset.
Explore your Google BigQuery Projects, Datasets, and Tables by using the Schema Browser. Schema Browser is a visual tree that shows the contents of all of your Schema Objects. Projects are top-level containers in Google Cloud Platform. Use the Schema Browser to create or remove objects, or view object properties.
BigQuery caches query results on a best-effort basis for increased performance. Results are cached for 24 hours and cached queries are subject to the same quota policies as non-cached queries. Aqua Data Studio displays the cache hit and total byte processed after executing a query in the Query Analyzer. Users can easily determine whether the cache was used for the query execution.
Connect to Google BigQuery and execute SQL queries effortlessly by using intelligent Autocomplete, SQL Abbreviations, and SQL Automation. Perform advanced analysis by using the built-in Pivot Grid and Charts, or one-click export to Excel feature.
