With Aqua Data Studio version 17.0, we're making it possible to execute MongoDB JavaScript commands against one of the most widely adopted NoSQL database management systems. Our MongoJS Query Analyzer allows you to execute JavaScript commands and view the results in a tree hierarchy, grid results and as text results. We've brought all of our easy-to-use and feature rich Query Analyzer functionality to MongoJS Query Analyzer including statement autocompletion and syntax highlighting. The MongoJS Pretty Print JSON is another new feature which allows you to display the JSON result in an easy to read format.
MongoDB uses JSON documents to store records which naturally creates a hierarchy of your data. We've created a tree view to enable you to naturally navigate your document hierarchy. We also offer options to Expand Recursively and Collapse Recursively the hierarchy along with a Copy JSON feature.
Pretty Print JSON
A new option for users to indicate whether to use pretty print to display the JSON results for a MongoJS result set in Text view. If this option is turned on, results are formatted in an easy to read format in both Text and Text History views.
MongoJS Options
The Default Syntax option allows you to choose whether to have MongoSQL or MongoJS default behavior when you launch a new Query Analyzer Window associated with a MongoDB connection. Additional options allow you to control the default behavior of MongoJS Query Analyzer windows. These options are available in File > Options > Query Analyzer > MongoDB.
MongoJS Query Analyzer provides a rich JavaScript editing environment including autocompletion support for MongoDB Javascript runtime commands and MongoDB databases and collections. Along with syntax coloring, these features save you time in writing Javascript statements.
JavaScript DDL Scripting
We've enhanced scripting of MongoDB collections to generate JavaScript commands when using MongoJS Query Analyzer. Right click on any MongoDB Collection in the Schema Browser and script to an already open MongoJS query Window, a new window or to a File.
