Aqua Data Studio version 18.0 enhances the built-in geocoding capability of Visual Analytics by introducing the Symbol Map chart. Symbol Map is shows geographical data by plotting shapes or pies at specific geo locations using Latitude and Longitude or Country/State/City fields in the newly added Geo Deck. This map is best suited to analyze quantitative data geographically.
Using Latitude and Longitude fields in Geo Deck, Visual Analytics can draw precise data points on the Symbol Map chart.
Visual Analytics automatically assigns geographic roles to number fields with common geographical names such as Longitude and Latitude. Users can also manually assign these roles to any numeric field.
To display a symbol map, a Geo Deck has been added to both Pie and Shape chart types.
