After Registering a Server in Aqua Data Studio the Query Analyzer can be launched to execute and edit SQL. There are different methods of invoking the tool, all of which launch the Query Analyzer. It is best to navigate to the server and left click to select it in the Schema Browser first, to ensure the appropriate database is being used before beginning.
All of the above operations launch the Query Analyzer Tool, which lets you execute SQL Queries in the Database Server you are connected to. Within the Query Analyzer is a dropdown for picking other databases on the currently connected server. Multiple Query Analyzers can be open at the same time in tabs or within additional free-floating Query Analyzer Windows.
Editing Properties of a Query Analyzer in Aqua Data Studio
The properties of the Query Analyzer can be viewed and altered by selecting File->Options->Query Analyzer from the main menu. There are defaults set for the Query Analyzer in the Options Dialog, depending on the database vendor and version chosen. The preset defaults for each vendor and version have been selected based on previous user experience and supporting database documentation.
It is possible to establish a connection and invoke a Query Analyzer in one step by Right clicking on a registered server and selecting Query Analyzer As.. from the menu. Supply the Login name and Password to establish the connection. A new Query Window will be opened, with a connection already established.
Using the Keyboard combination CTRL + Q quickly launches the Query Analyzer.
