Download and connect to the sample data source. We are making this chart using 1 dimension and 1 measure.
To build a Pie Chart
In the sample data source, we have changed the YEAR(OrderDate) to QUARTER(OrderDate). You will notice that Visualization has moved the QUARTER(OrderDate) Dimension to the Color Deck but retained the SUM(Profit) Measure in the Rows Deck. You will also notice that Size Deck is disabled. You can use this deck when you plot a symbol map via Geo Deck.
When Visualization builds a Pie chart, the data labels and show percentage values are not displayed by default on the chart slices.
To view data labels and percentage value on the pie slices
You can configure a hole in the center of the chart. The hole adds to the visualization experience of the Pie chart. Depending on the need, you can increase or decrease the size of the rings.
To configure a center hole
You can plot a symbol map by placing a geographical dimension in the Geo Deck. When you plot a symbol map, you will notice that Axes and Label Decks are disabled.
To plot a Symbol Map Chart
